Privacy policy

The short version

Your answers about your dog never leave your browser. There is no account, no tracking cookie, no analytics and no advertising pixel on Homebowl. If you subscribe, payment is handled by Stripe.

What is stored, and where

When you take the quiz, your answers and your plan settings are saved in your own browser's local storage, so you can come back to your plan. We can't see them. The entries are:

• homebowl.quiz.v1: your answers while you're taking the quiz
• homebowl.plan.v1: your finished plan and its settings
• homebowl.shopping.v1: the items you ticked on the shopping list
• homebowl.access.v1: which paid plan this browser has unlocked, and since when

“Start over” on your plan page deletes your plan. Clearing this site's data in your browser settings deletes everything, including an unlocked paid plan (your activation link restores it).

Payments

Subscriptions are paid through Stripe. Your card details go to Stripe only; we never see them. Stripe shares with us your email address, your plan and its payment status so we can manage your subscription, send receipts and answer you. See Stripe's privacy policy for how Stripe handles your data.

Server logs

Like any website, our host (Cloudflare, Inc. — 101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA) may keep short-lived technical logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) to keep the site secure and running. They are not used to identify or profile you.

Emails

If you email us, we use your address and message only to reply, and delete them when they're no longer needed.

Children

The site is not directed at children under 13 and we don't knowingly collect their data.
